Learn to Knit Socks 08/2, 08/09, 08/16, 08/23

Come join Aline for a 4-part class on sock knitting!  Students will meet each week for a 4-week period.

Session 1 August 2nd: introduction to magic loop technique, cast on for sock leg (1hr)

Session 2 August 9th: working the heel flap and heel turn involving short rows (2 hr)

Session 3 August 16th: gusset: how to pick up gusset stitches and begin the decrease rows for foot (2hr)

Session 4 August 23rd: finishing the foot by decreasing for the toe, complete with a 3 needle bind off (1hr)

List of skills learned or to be refreshed by taking this class:

Knitters need to have basic knit and purl stitches, cast on knowledge and know how to decrease

Date/Time: Wednesday, August 2nd, August 9th, August 16th, and August 23rd. All class times are 1pm-3pm

Cost: Total for all 4 sessions $60

Supplies needed: US 3 size 32″ circular needle and one skein of sock yarn. Supplies purchased for class from the shoppe will receive a 10% discount.
