Learn to Embroider a Name on a Sweater

Give your favorite sweater a personal touch in this hands-on embroidery class designed for beginners and creative makers alike. In this class, you’ll learn how to stitch beautiful designs directly onto knit fabric using classic techniques like chain stitch, lettering, and decorative detailing. Sue will cover how to properly stabilize stretchy sweaters, transfer your design, and create clean, even stitches that won’t pucker or distort the fabric.

Supplies needed: Please bring a garment that you would like the name embroidered onto. This can just be an inexpensive sweater just for experimenting. We will provide embroidery floss and the transfer paper. Please let the shoppe know ahead of time what name you would like printed so we can have it ready for you.
